Does anybody on here live in Torbay or know about any of the following / point me in the direction of relevant websites please:

Boat trips from Torquay harbour (to Paignton/Brixham etc)
The steam trains from Paignton
Good things to do in Torquay on a day trip

I have booked a day out for me and my Dad for his birthday. Looks like the 0650 from Sheffield direct to Paignton is an HST on the XC website. Is that right? I hope so!

A fantastic experience and highly recommended. I did this when I was 17 and it was a world apart from what I was used to.

Highly recommend th Dartmouth Steam Railway. Well worth a visit.

I used to live in Paignton. Depends when you are going. There are plenty of boat trips in summer from Torquay harbour.

Torquay is full of 'tourist' things to do, but i'm sure the steam railway will keep you occupied for enough time!

The 06:50 Leeds-Plymouth is booked a HST, doesn't go to Paignton though, change at Newton Abbott.

The 0650 from Shefffield showed longer train on the XC book your own seat page. Sure it was seven carriages. Not a double voyager so must be HST?!

Most likely HST - we don't very often get double voyagers down here in Devon.
