Not true. The line between East Finchley was connected and they got as far as electrifying it (but not switching it on). Stock transfers were possible and there's pictures of 38ts being transferred this way.

Nope - he will adjudicate only in the issues before him (liability and compensation). His remit will not include the question of anyone's criminal liability. That falls to the HSE and/or others at the investigation stage

Was it? I thought the NCL tunnels were exactly the same dimensions as the northern line tunnels. That's why the only unit to physically fit past Drayton park is a 313.

Love those pics. I know the tunnels seen tiny from inside the cab but when you get down and walk round the track inside the tunnels they seem absolutely huge.

And I've actually walked along that line, which is now a nice footpath. You can even see the posts still there to carry the cables.

Yes, by the criminal courts (Magistrates' and Crown). Exceptionally, there may be compensation orders issued by the criminal courts but for something as major as this it would almost certainly be a case for separate proceedings.

Liability for compensation and the amount are dealt with by the civil courts (County and High).
