"Connected" in the loosest sense of the word - it was never psychically connected to the main part of the Northern Line, it was always a separate branch. This is also the line where the Moorgate disaster occurred, when it was part of the Northern Line.
Not true. The line between East Finchley was connected and they got as far as electrifying it (but not switching it on). Stock transfers were possible and there's pictures of 38ts being transferred this way.
