Do the timetables show steam excursions in them?

The reason I ask is that Tornado is due through Biggleswade tomorrow moring and I can't see it on the listing.

Yes. It will be listed as a freight service (unless west coast railways are operating it). However Tornado doesn't join till London now

Oh bummer, thanks for the heads up.

I'm guessing it has something to do with Tornado's last trip which I believe terminated in the London area so it makes sense to couple it up there rather than run it light engine to P'Boro.

It used to be attached on the rear of the ECS to Peterborough but think the reason it's attaching in London is more due to patching issues getting to Peterborough and back to London. Being able to run at 100mph without having Tornado attached.
