You don't have to worry about that with McDonalds, they only use whole cuts of British & Irish beef. No nasty bits of the cows get into their burgers!

You can find out more by visiting the trust website or picking up a trust leaflet instore.

How long have you been the McDonald's Spin Doctor!?

They shouldnt ban food on trains. Yes some foods are smelly, but with the high prices some TOC's are charging it's no wonder that people bring their own food. The worst foods that I have smelled on the train:
  • Tuna sadwiches
  • Pasta
  • Salt 'n' vinegar crisps
  • Sushi
  • Burger with ketchup on (Yuk)

I think people out of common sense should refrain from bringin these on trains but it's perfectly allowed. I often bring McDonalds, chips, pasties, Paninis and baguettes on the train and they dont smell as bad. What gets me most is those that stuff food wrappers anywhere they can rather than bins provided.

Since last June ;)

But seriously, it is very annoying when people slag off your employer without any real knowledge of what they are talking about. McDonalds often get targeted with rumors/urban legends because they are the market leader and such a recognised brand.

The only thing I don't dare buy to eat on a train is egg and bacon sandwiches.

I love em, but oh that smell when you open up the pack!!!

There's nothing worse than some bugger bringing Fish & Chips onto a train. Just makes me want to get off and go and buy some!
How about KFC? We brought on a bargain bucket on one of our meets a while back because everyone was famished and/or sick of Virgin Trains Little Boxes of Snacks ™.
You could easily fit a Subway franchise into a buffet car.
Please don't. Or if you do, for heaven's sake make them offer butter.

Try please don't because subway is just plain disgusting full stop. :D
The one time I've been in there because there was absolutely nothing else at all, I asked about butter and apparently it takes them too long! Apologies for being off topic

Unfortunately, McDonalds is just one of those firms. Everybody thinks its OK to slag them off because of the reputation they have built up. It's a bit like insulting politicians. I'm happy to be one of the many people with no problem viciously ripping into George Osborne, even though I've never met him and he might be a really nice guy, because he is just that unpopular.

If you're employed by them, you are lying in the bed they made, regardless of how factually incorrect this is! Populism is bad... but it is, by definition, well-liked!

oooh well I never... now I have seen the light and maybe in a few months I too can burgeon out to become a 16 stone goliath.

Oh by the way - can you remind what happened to that bloke who decided to live on MacDonalds meals for a month ?

Please no! They are vile and such a hassle!

Nah, much tastier than the boring old fries "yawn".

On an unrelated note, I don't particularly mind ladies putting on their face on the train, as seems to be more and more common, but I can't stand the smell of that nail varnish remover, which I keep getting whiffs off.

If we're on to MacDonalds requests - how about serving those sausage & egg breakfast mcmuffin jobs all day?
