We should perhaps come up with a way of identifying those of us that have posted on here and are going to Brum to start on the 25th. It'd be nice to put faces to screen names!!! Any ideas??

Good idea. Can we not just post our first names on here? I'm Sarah.

Yes, I guess so. You can't miss me, I'm 6 foot, nearly 18 stone and sound a bit welsh. Richard is my real name. Who else?? Komma, and cobbler, was it??

Sometimes it is advisable to keep first names to yourself as you may or not find out later on in your career.

Hi Cobbler;

Do you know if there's any training on may as I have already done my medical test couple of weeks ago. However they (LM) said the April start date is full.....was wondering if you know anything abt May start.

Many thanks

Me too, although I'm at 9:15am Friday.

And still no email regarding an interview for the Trainee Senior Conductor position. I'll have to phone them again.

You gonna have a hell of a commute from The 'Diff, fella!!!! It's about an hour fifty minutes, if memory serves me.

I am traveling via Hereford and making a day out of it especially since I will be able to save at leasty £20 rather than traveling direct on crosscountry

How did you get hold of a phone number for recruitment? I was told the only contact was by email.

The various customer service roles in the west midlands. The person who said it was the test asessment officer yesterday.

As for a good tip if you have been sent any practice materials use them it certainly will come in handy.

good luck to everyone starting monday :)

Thanks Cobbler, I can't wait. I've had a two week break after finishing my last job which has been lovely. Hopefully see you in April when you start. Be nice to put a face to a name.

Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
Very excited now. Had a bit of emotion at work yesterday - everyone (about 80) was waiting in the canteen yesterday when I got in, the knobs!! Had a tee-shirt, a watch, a cake, a big card and a huge tool chest full of goodies - I worked for Stanley Black and Decker, see, so it was a foregone conclusion that I would get the last item!!!

I'm now quite nervous, as it happens, and that's not like me at all!!

Trying to decide where the best place is gonna be for me to park at the station, as the parking at Northampton is 8 squids a day!!

Hi Monty,

I had my interview yesterday, pretty straight forward stuff, no trick questions or any drilling down on answers... was told i will hear in 2-3 weeks time ! theres an intake in April, June and potentially Sept so the wait continues... My first and second choices... Snow Hill and B'ham..
