Belgium - Brugge to Oostende

We're getting the ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge with a coach transfer to Bruges(Brugge). There's lockers at Bruges which we like to use, then we're planning on a train to Ostend, and the coach tram to Blankenburg.

There's 4 of us, what's our cheapest option, anyone any ideas?

Funny, am doing this in June. I have done it before, about 6years ago. You can't book it online, but it is cheap for a single. and the trains are frequent and only 15mins journey time.

I've done it a couple of times, was E7.90 or something each return, just wondered if there was a second option?!?

That sound about right, I last went 5 to 6years ago e6 something. You can get the tram down the seafront. But its 26 stops and takes longer, and see some of Blankenberge and De Haan town.

Thanks. We're just really looking at somewhere to spend the day. We've walked around Bruges and Ostend a few times, so looking at the coast tram for the first time.

Anyone know of the best fare options for the tram - we'll probably be going to Blankenburg, but we may stop off enroute - not sure what the rules are regarding that?

My parents did the trip as part of a coach trip where they got all-day travelcards - wondering if that is cheaper than a return journey?

Any assistance much appreciated.

Also, looking forward to travelling via a different mode of transport too.

The tram is operated by De Lijn. I usually get a Dagpas (day pass) (€5 from a ticket office, €7 on bus/tram) which gives unlimited travel on all buses and trams in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium, plus De Lijn buses to/from Brussels.

Thanks. The €5 seems the better option. I can't seem to find details of the zones, but I would imagine it is a >3 zone move, and if we wanted to stop off, the €5 would be cheaper I'm guessing anyway.
