Worcester Park to Milton Keynes Central

I have cause through work, to be spending 1 day per week in MK for the next few months and have been investigating my travel options.

I'm running through routes on Southern's website which appears not to permit a particular journey?

I would want to arrive at MKC around 09:00, and note that there is a 07:39 departure from Clapham Junction.

To catch this (and to permit me just a little more sleep in the mornings) I would prefer to catch the 07:12 arriving Clapham Junction at 07:30, however this option does not appear to be possible through the journey planner?

Is this because there is insufficient time (9mins) for a connection at Clapham Junction?

I realise that it could be a whole 10 minutes quicker if I slog up through London, but I'm not in that much of a rush

My closest station to walk is actually West Sutton, but I won't be relying on the Loop for a while yet given my previous experiences of it.

Any assistance?

Bingo, the minimum interchange time at CLJ is 10 minutes. Of course if you can afford to risk being half an hour late you can still travel on the 0712 - if it's not a long distance between platforms (and the 0712 isn't prone to delays), you should be fine.

Edit: booked for a platform 1 arrival and the train to MKC leaves platform 17... looking a bit tight to me. If you buy a through ticket for Worcester Park - Milton Keynes, it will be valid via Euston too so if it looks like you'll be missing your connexion you can always change at Vauxhall for the Tube instead.

I can't check the fares right now but its very likely that using Oyster between Worcester Park and Watford Junction and then a separate ticket to Milton Keynes would give the best result. You would need to touch out at Watford Junction but there may be a fast connection from there that would mean you won't be late.

That is correct. CLJ Pfm 1 is for use by LO services so there is a mis-print in there somewhere.

Platform 10 at Clapham Junction is the one for up main line suburban services

I was going on NRE's advice, clearly wrong as platform 1 is of course Overground only.
