My guess would be that it's some kind of On Track Plant, due to the "timed for 0mph" part, which I've only come across for OTP in the past.

Are there any particular acronyms you need deciphering?

I don't know many but I think VSTP is 'Very Short Term Planned' and STP is 'Short Term Planned'!

I think is either light engine or a trailing load mass wasn't entered into "The System". Correct if I am wrong as always.

EDIT: Just seen Temple Meads post

Thanks for the quick response, I guessed it would be something On Track Plant related, probably a tamping unit or something. Is there any way to make sense of this sort of information? Or are they just numbers? For instance, the "runs ThO" what does that mean?

"Schedule Information
STP schedule UID O60609, identity
Runs ThO on 14/02/2013 only
TSC 51610410"

Thanks again

Basically as Wikipedia said above STP means "Short Term Plan" which means it's not a regular service, and is a schedule that has been activated at short notice. ThO means "Thursday Only".

All VSTP paths are timed at 0mph, so it could be anything.

Thanks a lot, Temple Meads!

I'd hazard a guess at "Th"ursday "O"nly.

Makes sense, not sure how I missed that one!

Thanks for the information! If only there was a way to find out what is what loco wise!

Done some digging and pretty sure this is the loaded steel, probably a late request by the customer.

Hi guys,

Can anyone shed some light onto what this may be?

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O60609/2013/02/14/advanced
As you guessed, that is 4O26 Scunthorpe to Dollands Moor steel train,
worked by 66197 today.

It normally runs via Doncaster, where it changes from a 66 to a 92,
but due to the landslip at Hatfield mine, it is now running via Lincoln,
and is 66-hauled throughout...

If anyone is interested, full details of all the freight services diverted
due to the landslip have now been incorporated into the FMonline
timetables... ;)
