HULL TRAINS' PASSENGER NUMBERS SOAR
Passengers numbers on Hull Trains have soared by almost a third. Latest figures from FirstGroup, which owns the service, reveal they have climbed 30 per cent in the past year. The service between Hull and London carried 650,085 passengers in the 12 months up to April, up from 505,000 the previous year.
Hull Trains managing director Mark Leving said: "Our growth has been remarkable, particularly in the past year, with an increase in passenger figures of 30 per cent and the introduction of a new weekday service.
"We have also recently announced plans to develop and expand our services in order to bring major benefits for the region and to continue this very positive upward trend.
"It's great to celebrate such strong results for us and for the group. This can only be good news for all of our passengers.
"We are very proud to be a part of FirstGroup and contributing to its continued development and success."
The expansion will mean new services to Lincolnshire, the rest of Yorkshire and the north.

I wonder what these future expansions could involve?
