RULES CLARIFICATION

The problem lies here with the fact that the rules of this quiz in the very first posting were amended in that particular section in March 2012, but a second later rules clarification in a posting a few weeks later....

THAT BOTH OPEN AND CLOSED STATIONS ARE EQUALLY VALID ON THIS QUIZ

..was unfortunately never caused then to be so entered into wording of the rules on the very first posting of this particular quiz.

Since then, there have been numerous posting entries of closed British railway station and tram station names, all of which were in full accordance with the second rules revision.

I am looking after this quiz on behalf of the original quiz-setter as forum rulings mean that he is unable to access the Quizzes and Puzzles Forum. I see this particular thread every day and am at hand to help with all queries that are raised, such as this one.

Unfortunately, as only the original quiz-setter can amend his own original posting where the rules are so entered, the matter will have to stay as it is until he is granted the facility to be able to return to this particular section of the website.

I'm not sure why members who are on modification aren't allowed access to the Quizzes and Games section of the forum, to be honest.

Please remember that question you have just raised is against the Forum Rules as no discussion is to be made on decisions of moderation.

Richmond (North Yorkshire)... Anyone know why this station can still be thrown up on the NRE website, despite having been closed for quite some time?

Maybe there's a bus connection or something; I know a lot of towns have a bus transfer included in the price of a train ticket.

It still carries the 3-letter station code of RMK.

If you enter a journey from there to York on their journey planner, you will be given a coach connection from there to Darlington with the coach times of both departure and arrival.
