17021 is the latest bus in for repaint at Carlisle. The Open Top continue to come in with only a couple left to do.

Has someone at Kendal over-ordered blue lights? Every Kendal decker I see seems to have more blue than white lights- right back to the raised seats at the back. Can;t be that good to travel on.....

It might not be pretty but it means the driver can see out of the windscreen at night, rather than just seeing a reflection of the bus interior.

The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
My point being why the proliferation on Kendal's allocation?

I'd guess it has something to do with the fact that a lot of Kendal's mileage is undertaken on roads that have no street lighting meaning that conventional interior lighting would reflect in the windscreen more than in lit areas, even the lights towards the rear of the saloon. As a driver, interior reflections in the windscreen are at best annoying and at worst downright dangerous.

Happy New Year to you all, by the way.

30/31 branded 22608 straying onto Workington town network this afternoon which hasn't happened for a while. It made the 50.
Quite unsettled with a few swaps going on; 47024, 16649 and 35248 the others which have been on it.
35246 been today's 51 allocation.

Also does any one know where the third ex-Barrow X35 Trident was sold to or was it retained by council? I know that two of them are now with Norfolk Green and are having a complete overhaul before service.

Ironically making its fresh-return off route on the 22 firstly. Couldn't find the "apparent" new installed Wi-Fi on my mobile, unless its not been activated yet.
Rear Photo

If they are getting Wifi and it's not been activated yet maybe they'll add Wifi stickers later. Would be good to have big ones like MEs E400s to make it obvious haha

New 300 branding made its first apperance in service this afternoon. 15683 pictured here after just replacing 16649 at Lillyhall.

I can understand the window route branding in Lancaster as you never on the bus more than 30 mins tops. But I don't like the idea on doing Whitehaven/Workington to Carlisle looking at the branding in the way of the fancastic Coast and Countryside views. Thats my thoughts.
