On railforums?

I would like to see some sort of a reputation system, so peopple can be judged on helpfulness etc, rather than post count

Please not this is not a demanding thread, saying 'I want this', but more just to see people opinions ;)

I would like my ban to be lifted and more forums need more places so people can post more things and new catagories aswell! But this is a good forum besides that!

You should given that you've posted 267 times this Month. Mostly crap IMHO.

Thanks for the vote of confidence:!:

Anyway, being in front of a PC is far better IMO than being on scaffolding ;)

I would like to see Chaz's moderation lifted as it seems rather pointless now.

I'd like to see moderators sticking to the forum rules rather than just deleting posts because they don't like the contents.

Mess Room anybody ;)

I disagree with what fred777 says. A cluttered forum is a bad forum IMHO!

I would also like to see 'Liam' promoted to head admin ;)

How about a "Respected User" rating. The forum on "Airliners.net" has had it for years.

From their FAQ
What is that "Respected Users" list good for?
In this list, you can name up to 20 (30 for First Class members) users that you feel deserve your respect regardless of whether you agree with their opinions or not. Before adding someone to your Respected Users list, please make an effort concluding that the user is really worthy of your respect. Check older posts by the person, different forums etc. The credibility rating of the user will in part depend on who he/she is respected by.
To update your Respected Users list, use the "Edit Profile" function or press the
add_to_resp_users.gif
button located beside the name of the user you want to add to your list.

This feature is only active for users that have posted more than 20 posts.

Less threads that turn into MSN conversations.
And attempt at spelling , it doesnt matter if there are smaller errors but 'u' , 'fink' and stuff, is just plain lazy.
Craigs point is good as well.

I've been saying this for ages to Tom, but a 444 and 450 theme. I offered to basicly to change the top banner and all he would simply do is copy the 800 x 600 442 but change the photo.

That was wishful thinking and the idea died long ago :(

The mods to finally grab the bull by the balls and ban some of the arseholes of the community. Such targets should include, but not be limited to, the fare dodging gipsy.

If it was acceptable to ban Jono in the beginning despite never have broken a forum rule, it's accept to ban the greaseball.

You mean like some people have attempted to turn this thread into by filling it with playground drivel (now deleted!)? I suggest everyone reads the Admin Announcement entited 'Personal Chats' posted earlier this week.

Great Idea , Although you could just do what yorkie has done with me 5 posts a day and full words and sentences (makes my life easyer and everyone elses)
There use to be a 450 theme :)

Spam.

I'd like to see moderators sticking to the forum rules rather than just deleting posts because they don't like the contents.

The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.
An administrator or global moderator's decision is always final, and we do not permit the discussion of a decision (whether related to an edited/deleted post or a banned member) in posts, avatars, signatures or in any part of your profile, however, if a considerable suggestion is made by Private Message or by use of the 'Contact Us' page, an administrator can look at it, and possibly take the comment on board.

Fred, you ASKED for the 5 posts a day with your very high posting rate. An attempt at grammar would be good as well

Don't worry, I've tried to get that gipsy banned many times. The reference is that he has done nothing wrong.

But then if we have a desiro theme we need a theme for every train in the country!
Should be possible soon ;). Upload your own picture to the system, and it will add into a queue.

Untill the end of last year around then, after that Tom took it away for what is the now 'South West Trains ( 1024 x 768 )' :(
Just to annoy you. :)

Legend.

I propose NickW be removed for his unrealistic ideas such as "Branch Line HSTs" and how anything to do with engineering works will mean BUSES.
