That FCC are going to be externally advertising for trainee drivers at the end of January next year around the 28th/29th.

So master their terrible online application process now. ;)

Yes it's true but note they are looking for qualified drivers at the moment at Bedford, Cambridge, Blackfriars and Kings Cross.

So would I be reading too much into it to think that those from this years campaign that have passed all stages and are just waiting for a date for the medical, may soon here something?

Hmmm

Wonder why re-advertise when some of us have had an initial application on hold for the last 8 months.

Hope they are going to consider us first!

I spoke with FCC 2 weeks ago, I am still on hold pending assessment from Feb 12 external jobs at cambridge, as well as many waiting for medicals and others I know on hold. I would think it may be a while off

I have been in a holding pot having passed all assessments since March 2012.

It does seem strange, if the rumours are true that they are recruiting externally again as I know there are quite a few of us in Holding pots.

Surely it makes sense to contact everyone and put them through there medicals/reference checks etc so they can accurately target the correct amount of Trainee drivers in Jan and maybe there won't be so many sitting in Holding pots.

I did contact them once again last week to be told that they haven't got any further intake dates yet and when there is they will contact by email and update my online status.

I'm still trying to be upbeat despite it being 12 months since my initial application!.

Is it likely they will recruit in jan/feb given the number of guys in the hold pool?

I applied in January 12 and received an email for an interview in January 13 last week. Politely declined as I'm now with southerm

Was it an interview or initial assessment you were invited to? There are several of us that have passed all stages and are just waiting (since May!) for a formal job offer. Seems strange that they are still processing applicants.

I got an email today saying I will be invited to assessment in Jan 13. Only 11 months after my application....worth a wait though
