FGW trainee driver positions Penzance, Exeter and Gloucester

Morning all I applied for the position of trainee train driver at Penzance
(Closing date 21/09/12). And have received an email stating I am through to the next stage.

It states that they are verifying my driver assessments.
Has anyone else applied and what stage are you up to.

Does anyone know how many jobs there are and when the courses are likely to start.

There are around 60+ positions and interview's are on going. Prepare to be patient

Didn't see that advertised for penzance,gloucester and exeter.Was it on the first website? Only thought positions were reading,paddington,oxford,westbury and bristol.

Yes it was on the first website advertised from 1/9/12, two separate advertisements Penzance and Exeter, and separately for Gloucester.

Anyone heard anything more from these? It's been 3 months now since I've applied. And I heard I'm through to the assessment stage back in oct but since then nothing

Exeter have hired around 10 trainee drivers just before Christmas.

Haven't heard anything about the other depots though.

Strange how it works, I am on the railway at the mo so I know how it works but I would liked one of those jobs .

Wonder why my application still says pending driver verification? And that was back in oct.

I have sat driver tests back 2010 just the paper group bourdon and written verbal tests and mechanical parts and past them.

Has anyone else applied for these positions and what stages are you at?
