At What Time is Exeter Central Locked up at Night? As a friend would like to film 1A40 through there on Sunday Night.

I have no idea what 1A40 is and what time it is due, but presumably it falls outside the times it is staffed, stated on the national rail website for [stn]EXC[/stn]?

It's the UP sleeper which calls at Exeter St Davids at 0055 to 0106 and then goes to Tiverton. So doesn't go to Exeter Central...

Life on here would be easier at times if people used times with headcodes

You could always film etc from the roadbridge to the east of the station, but I'll let you judge the safety of that.

On a (slightly) similar note, does anyone know of hand if there are going to be any HST diverts in January by this route, like the first couple of PNZ/PLY - PADs on Sunday mornings last year for a couple of weeks?

Times are Exeter SD 00:23 - 01:06 (P1), Central 01:08h (pass P3).

No - trains can be scheduled to stop outside staffed hours

Trains do call outside the hours quoted - eg there's an 0009 arrival from Exmouth on Saturday nights.

Whether there's still someone around to lock up, don't know.

Many (most?) stations do not get locked up. I'm not sure which is the nearest station to me that actually gets locked up is.

All round here the last trains are approx midnight, and first around 0530, yet the staff finish earlier and start later than that so nowhere gets locked up.
