Noticed a DRS 37 running light-engine northbound towards Ulleskelf at Colton Junction yesterday, around 08:10. I was pretty suprised, I rarely see any workings like that thesedays on the mainline! Any ideas where it was heading and what it was doing?

And in the opposite direction, 37229 & 47802 were stabled at York just over an hour ago, ready to work tomorrow's HRT 'Easter Highlander' tour.

Interesting that HRT/Victa are using DRS and not Riveria locos as has hapenned so far this year

I believe its DRS as Victa crewes dont sign the route to Scotland

The Edinburgh goings on are part of the problem (i.e charters are severely limited; the only one that has got stopping rights this year is the Royal Scotsman)...

Traditionally its GB to Edinburgh for FM/Victa with EWS route conductor for the Higlands part.

Today it was supposed to be GB to Newcastle for DRS forward but Victa approached GB rather late in the day so it was Victa to York for DRS forward.
