Yes but I'm pretty sure 150/0s and /1s have two blinds. So it would say:

Nottingham
Ivanhoe Line

Or am I imagining that I saw that?

In the early 90s, the 150s in the Birmingham area had a second blind fitted in the middle window, below the original one.

Ivanhoe line is/was also used for the Leicester–Nottingham stoppers after the intermediate stations opened in the mid-1990s. (Don't think the brand is used anymore since they've been absorbed into the Lincoln services.)

Whilst at Preston today, a Virgin Voyager (bound for Edinburgh IIRC) pulled in with something on the front screen that looked a bit odd. As it got closer, it said "DstStn"

The boards at the side said:

Via: IntStn (can't remember exactly but it was an abbreviation of Intermediate)

I battled the crowds on the platform to take a picture with my phone, but unfortunately by the time I got there, they now said "Welcome on Board"

While they wouldn't actually have gone there, NSE were seriously considering re-opening the branch to Dunstable, hence it was put on the destination blinds. Unfortunately Luton Borough Council had other ideas.....

That happens all the time though, mind. Saw it twice on my trip to London on Sunday.

I have something that happened rather recently at...Chester I think? where the message on screen split into two, I wouldn't call it a destination screen but it's a departure screen!

You're going to have to run that by me again sorry, I've read that five times over and can't work out what you mean... Perhaps you mean there's two screens and both display one half of a message?

Are you sure that it wasn't the Northern line? It regularly happens there due to the it using a certain type of system to provide information to the DMIs (Dot Matrix Indicators), and it often cannot tell which train will be given priority at a junction, but I don't think I've seen it on any other lines (not to say it cannot happen).

I seem to remember there was a photo posted of Virgin using a destination screen to show the number of people that signed the petition for them to retain the Intercity West Coast franchise although I can't find it right now so not sure if it was a Pendolino or Voyager.

Basically a scrolling announcement says 'FIRST CLASS IN XXX PORTION OF TRA' then about 3 seconds later another one comes up saying 'IN'

Is there any logical reason why the screens at Manchester Victoria are such a shambles? "All Station" screens which flip between pages and announcements far too quickly, "on platform" screens which flip across five pages...Not sure why someone waiting for a train on Platform 5 or wherever has to stand watching three warning messages flip through every 45 seconds just to get to the station stops. Not best practice, and odd when both Picaddilly and Oxford Road are so much more passenger focused/logic.

It's definately still used at Leicester, Syston, Sileby, Barrow and Loughborough and possibly Nottingham on a commercial basis by EMT - signs and posters etc for the local service are still branded with the Ivanhoe logo. I'm reasonably sure it's still in place at Willington as well despite it's situation as a somewhat abandoned outpost only served by Cross Country a few times a day.

As for the second blinds on the 150s, they are/were capable of showing various service descriptors - 'Via New Street, Via Snow Hill, Football Special, Express, Semi Fast' etc etc.
