Manchester Industrial Relics?

The threads about Manchester and the Ordsall Curve sent me to Google Maps to see exactly where it would go. To my surprise, I think I may have located some abandoned industrial diesels nearby. If you search on Duncan Street, Salford, go to Street View and look North, you'll see a big modern green industrial shed, called Duncan Street enterprises. If you look at the eastern end of the shed, between it and the car wash, you should be able to see what looks like an industrial shunter. Fly over the scene and head slightly West, and you'll see another 4 on an abandoned spur off the main line. (I couldn't find a Street view angle on these). Anyone know what they are?

Just a rather old aerial photo. There used to be some shunters there, visible just west of Ordsall Lane Junction. I think they may possibly have belonged to Harry Needle, and have now been moved.

They are/were visible from the line, I have seen them.

The warehouse is/was rail connected it's the "Salford & Manchester Rail freight centre - Creative Logistics" according to the Baker atlas.

I don't know whether it's still active. Check the latest Freightmaster.

The one that is visible on the Street View image certainly belongs to Harry Needle, as it carries his company's livery. It is 07001, formerly BRs' D2985, and I believe that it is now located at Barrow Hill.

Thanks for the identification. The Bing maps link indicates that none of them are there any more. But here's the odd thing - all of them look like the same type of engine from above, but surely 5 Class 07s couldn't have been gathered in the same place, given that only 14 were built. Were some - or even all - of them from a fleet of Ruston & Hornsby locos of a similar type to the 07s, operated by the Manchester Ship Canal Company?

That's a real locomotive. It is unique as Peckett's only fireless locomotive, and was built for the Co-operative Wholesale Society's Irlam soap works, as works number 2155 of 1955. It was previously sited in Princes Park before it was relocated to it's present location.

At the Irlam Soap Works it worked alongside two Peckett 0-4-0 saddle tanks, works numbers 2130 & 2131 of 1951, both of which are now preserved by the Battlefield Line and the Cambrian Railway Society respectively:

Complicating matters further, the loco visible between the two sheds on Google aerial view is not the same as 07001 pictured on Bing street maps: The loco visible from above has a blue bonnet top, whereas if it was 07001 it would be white. All five of the locos visible in the aerial images look like Hunslet or Sentinel beasties to me, although it is hard to be sure.
