Granted HDTV is better quality than analogue BUT when the weather was bad outside analogue still worked, it didnt freeze or come up with - NO SATELLITE SIGNAL IS BEEN DETECTED

Dont get me wrong Im all for modern technology, after all Ive grown up with it, I was looking at the alternatives and their cons.
Of course the upsides outweigh it, such as the ability to carry multiple channels on a single wavelength, greater clarity, and interactive services.
Very true digital signals allow more channels BUT I still struggle at times to find something decent to watch, and thats with 200+ channels!!!

Rain should not affect (a properly installed, baring any obstruction) satellite reception unless it is really, really heavy. And terrestrial reception is still available, which isn't affected by rain.
It locks/freezes in heavy rain etc, could be a location issue with dish.
If you go away what ever you left on your PC should still be there when you get back.
My PC has a habit of automatically restarting after a windows update without a prompt, if I recall properly it has a message along the lines of Windows will automatically restart in ?? minutes, if you want to restart now press ok maybe its in the settings somewhere that I can stop it happening?
Unless you've manually disabled the option, Word should always autosave.

AS FOR MUSIC AND DIGITAL MEDIA AT LEAST WE DONT HAVE TO SCRAMBLE FOR THE EJECT BUTTON ANY MORE WHEN OUR FAVOURITE CASSETTE STARTS GETTING CHEWED UP!!!
