Have any other operators except Pathfinder released details of trips for 2013 yet?

UK Railtours have announced a couple already, kicking off with High Marnham & Tinsley on January 5th.

I guess it's a case of never say never. In 2006 they were bought by Riviera Trains, who in my view are a shadow of their former self. With the loss of Rail Blue and Spitfire (latter is an assumption) you never can be too careful. Look what happened to HRT too. Fortunately it was reborn as UKRailtours.

From what I remember Spitefire don't accept credit cards which is worrying. I had to write a cheque for the tour to Penzance back in June.

Plenty of Hertfordshire tours for haulage enthusiasts in the 1990s / early 2000s. They did the last class 58 tour in this country, and several spin & wins. In fact there was a distinct bias towards class 56s on Hertfordshire tours in the mid 1990s.

No as far as I'm aware. They had a tour planned but were forced to cancel (before bookings opened) due to problems with both DRS and DB so I think they're looking at next year now for the next tour.

A tour which has a number of different locos hauling different parts of the tour.

The reason Spitfire had done this was to make sure no one had paid out money incase a tour was cancelled. Cheques were not cashed until the tour was a runner. The tours that were cancelled at the last minute everybody that booked got their money back as far as i'm aware.

With regard to credit cards, don't forget that it does cost the retailer money to have the facility and many smaller companies can't justify that outlay.
