How close is 67010 to returning to service. Will 67018 be off its chitern diagram soon? Is 67023 also close to returning to service. Will 67026 be repainted soon since the diamond jubilee celebrations are over?

Update on 67023, according to WNXX on facebook. 67023 is in the paint shed - hopefully another DB Red 67 is it's way!

There is always a red 67 parked at Banbury overnight with some old Virgin and BR livery Mk3, so this must be due for a repaint?

The 67 (67018) certainly isn't due for a repaint for a long time (It's presently the only 67 in corporate DB Schenker livery) and the BR livery mark 3s have actually only gained that scheme in the last couple of years, so it is only the Virgin liveried vehicles in the rake that are in any need of a repaint, and repainting the Banbury commuter rake does not seem to feature highly in Chiltern's plans.

Any news on 67023 development, is 67026 going to get repainted into the DBS livery since the majority of jubilee events all over?

WHAT
All the coaches in the rake are gradually going for refurbishment and repaint into Blue and Grey livery with Chiltern logos. So they ARE being repainted. Most are complete.

Hope this helps, Sam

Oh fair enough. I hadn't realised that the BR blue & grey livery was still an active scheme being used by Chiltern - I thought it was just the legacy of the recently defunct Cargo-D operation.

67011 is unusually stored at toton, allocated to the wnwx long term repair pool, according to www.wnxx.com. wonder what the problem is and how long it'll be out of traffic for?

Thats quite nice, instead of repainting the virgin ones into chiltern livery and running a mixed rake.

I think IC swallow would look good on a 67 *hint*

Isn't that the 67 that had a failure that's very expensive to fix, like a main generator flashover or something along those lines. Certainly I'm under the impression that there's one 67 kicking around that's likely to be out of commission for some time due to a serious fault.

67010 is a long term returnee, it had to give up it's bogies to a fellow classmate last year. I can't remember which loco got the bogies but it was dumped at Stonehaven for a short amount of time.
Thanks, Sam

I understood 023 to have come out of the paint shop after having its yellow cab ends touched up. Nothing else done.

Repairs on 67010 complete apprantly

Indeed, 67010 has been released from repairs at crewe DMD and is now allocated to the waan pool. All we need now is it to headed to London and replace 67018 down there so it can work up north for a change.

Chiltern will require 4 locos (3 'Silver diagrams' & the Banbury) in service a day from December so I think 18 will be staying put..

67010 is on a test run today.
67023 came out of the paint facility at toton with it ends being refreshing up.
Any news on whether 67026 will keep its jubilee livery?

Why wouldn't it? They're hardly going to spend £££ repainting that when most of the others are still sporting the now defunct 'EWS' livery.
