Curzon street station - helicopters

4 choppers parked on the platform at Curzon street Birmingham today. What's all that about? Is Curzon street often used as a heliport?

They are being used in an attempt to perform an unperformable opera. The Stage Directions call for Helicopters which will each contain a member of the string quartet.

I am not making this up....

Yeah they've made for an interesting sight for the last week or so. I think it's the English Arts Council who are blowing something like £960,000 on it... Crazy.

Isn't money supposed to be a bit tight at the moment?

Not to mention the environmental impact of flying around in 'copters.....
