Oh *&^%. I mis-phrased clue 2. Reddish south was the correct answer, but Clue 2 was supposed to have an 'or the same number' part in it.

Oh yeah; that didn't occur to me at all

Guess I just got lucky then...

Clue 1: This station is not electrified.

Coleshill Parkway?

Managed by LM. Penalty.

Clue 5: This station was renamed with a suffix during the BR era to distinguish it from another station in the settlement it serves. The other station has since closed and the suffix is no longer in use.

Any answers before I will have to conclude this one? I can't guarantee my availability for the next week or so as of tomorrow...

Please explain about the suffix. [ I am aware there was previously an LNER station - what were the stations called and when did the ex LNER one close ? ]

The GNR station was Stamford East, and I believe the Midland one became Stamford Town after East opened, then reverted to Stamford when East closed in 1957.

Clue 2:-

Similar to "Ansdell & Fairhaven" this station used to be "a" & "b" but now is known just as "a"

No, not quite - the station hasn't changed its name completely - it's just lost its second part.

Clue 3:

This station was originally on a double line, which has now been mainly singled. However, this station is still on a passing-loop.

Well seeing as it still hasn't been taken, and I can pretty much guarantee my availability within a reasonable period once again, let's pick this one up...

Clue 1: This station is not in NSE-land.
