HST bashing.

Just though i would involve my self a little more, so i did some HST hopping down to york, it was great getting the MML set back up.

P.s. at 125mph a HST is a great hairdryer.

Nice photos!

I can only imagine you were in Coach E because you thought that was closest to the loco? I really recommend Coach A for second class travel, maximum thrash there and usually the quietest coach in terms of passengers.

Yeah, unfortunately i didnt want to run the length of the train whilst it was going, but on the other hand i was in coach A On the GNER set, yeah good thrash.

I think you mean coach B - there isn't a coach A on GNER!

Incidentally, I travelled on the HST Mallard set today (in coach B both ways from York to Newcastle and back whilst attempting to get to Edinburgh - gave up on the outward journey when the train was terminated at Newcastle running 90 late, and there wasn't another train forward for an hour. Hopefully I'll make it to Edinburgh tomorrow!). Quite nice I thought although the seats are a little harder than I would like. I've not sampled the FGW 'cattle trucks', but I can't imagine them being as good as GNER's stock.

Thanks, yeah sorry i mean coach b, i was all huffed up about the arrival of a MMl set hehe.

I forgot to mention the rear power car of the MML set did recieve some power failiures, seemed to be spitting a lot of clag out for most of the journey.

I think i may buy my self a rover for this week, would it be worth it, who can advise me on where to go. Oh but having said that, apparently all of ticketers i have spoken to say you can only get either a west coast or east coast rover.
