Gnolfe, Ponte Monkhill is served by pacers as well as a few sprinters and 180s. However, the clue does not say solely served so I think you escape a penalty.

I disagree with me escaping a penalty - the meaning of the clue was fairly obvious, even if it was not explicitly stated. Since I'd overlooked the possibility of Pacers serving Monkhill (pretty daft of me, considering that it is Northern we were dealing with there), I'm perfectly entitled to the penalty.

If Pontefract Monkhill garners a penalty, then I have already fallen foul of the requirement to wait for a valid answer before continuing...

Havant?

Did the Shrewsbury-Euston call at Telford then, I considered it but then discounted it as I thought it was fast from Wolves to Salop.

It did stop running pre-privatisation at the same time as other through London's (I'm thinking the likes of Cleethorpes and Middlesbrough), but Branson reintroduced it for a time. I wasn't sure whether the reincarnated service called.
