I saw a double headed 37 thunder past my work (Nr Basingstoke) yesterday, one came back in the evening with 3 NR yellow coaches heading towards London so the other one must be resting at Eastleigh for this Sat tour.

DRS currently have two 37s and a 47 at Eastleigh. They arrived on the Cruisesaver boat train yesterday. The locos and stock will be required for Saturdays northbound Cruisesaver, but they could tail with a single 37 and leave one behind for Saturday?

Knowing DRS, they have probably planned that one of the 37s at Eastleigh will be for the tour, unless another 37 is arriving?

I didn't think that the pair at Eastleigh would be split considering they already have a booked return working & it's probably a heavy load for a single 37 or 47!

And it really will be new track to..... the junction by the level crossing in the Western docks was all relaid/remoddled a few weeks back.

Failed to stop at Didcot on the way back Not on drivers docket apparently.

Earlier we had ended up on the through road for a pickup at Eastligh to the suprise of those waiting on platform 2 as we sailed past. A quick reverse solved that one!

I went up to the bridge near the pub at Dursley Road, should have walked up there to see it as they were both thrashing under the bridge!

Shame about the camera, most annoying moments been there done that! Just as well I wasn't at the station then maybe...
