I wonder about Lockerbie. I don't know about the change of name, but it is served by Virgin West Coast and TPE and is electrified. I suspect that the number of stopping services has decreased with the acceleration of Glasgow-Euston services. Don't know about the name change, but it is possible.

Final clue:
The station was renamed as part of a major renovation and expansion of services in the 1980s, the new name was chosen to the reflect the fact the it was now intended to be the main station for a much larger catchment area than previously was the case.

I have no idea I think the letter is K, which is somewhat ominous given roughly one station in six has a K in its name...

Technically this has four platforms today, but only two are in use (and the junction is of course still there): King's Norton
