I know it has never stopped it happening, bbut of all the flavours of 317, /5s are easily the least appropriate for an airport express service.
From your inside position, any more on the plan to mothball nine units (probably the /7s)? Is it happening from tomorrow or will it be a while before the fleet is in a state to allow it?

I don't know of any plans to actually mothball them. There shouldn't be any in service today. There is one 12 car set being moved today, and that's the set that did the 2200 Ipswich last night. It was stabled at Colchester vice Parkeston and is due to be moved back to Ilford today. There are 4 units destined for Aldersbrook CS (next to the Ilford flyover), and 5 units to be kept at Ilford Depot. How long they'll be there is anyones guess. There's no danger of them being used, simply because they don't belong to Abellio. AFAIK, 317714 & 317723 are already off lease (so that makes the set being moved from Colchester today 708, 709 & 722).

In regards to 315804's relivery, is it apparent what livery it will be painted into and will the rest of the 315's follow suit?

Plain white- with red doors is what I've heard and a few vinyls on the bodyside. No amazing fancy new liveries before anyone gets excited unfortunately.

I heard it would be getting NXEA blue doors. I hope you are right thought, because that sounds damn exciting :)

Does anyone have any pictures of 153306 in the new Greater Anglia livery, it should have arrived back at Crown Point a week last Wednesday. Also has anyone seen the unit out in service?? Also if anyone could provide pics that would be fantastic.

It's out in service today. So far, it's only booked on
2P10 08:09 NRW-GYM;
2P11 08:47 GYM-NRW
and then back to Crown Point.

Do we know if 321s and 317s (the latter I presume sundergoing a repaint) will recieve red doors?

Will the 153s keep their nameplates?

I would imagine they'll receive red doors. I expect when 321425 returns from Doncaster next week, that'll be answered. 315804 & 317660 have still yet to make an appearance from Ilford having been there now for almost 2 months. Either that, or they're the new Christmas trees now 315850 & 317511 have returned to service ;)

It has been asked for the 153's name places to be kept on, and the ones that don't carry their names anymore, it's being looked into to have them put back on.

New carpets, seat covers properly laundered, new glass in the windows. Although there's plenty of bits that aren't right. Little bits that shouldn't have been missed that have been. 309 should have a better job done on it.

I take it that is the new Greater Anglia corporate carpet. Shame it dosen't match but dosen't clash too badly.

They will need to sort out the 153s soon to make them DDA compliant.

Yeah, the old carpets were green, so this carpet is new. Quite stylish IMO.
Interestingly the 2 153s in the photo are the 2 that ONE denamed, and 153306 didn't get it's name back.
