XC HST Diagrams

Does anybody know the times for XC HSTs in the summer timetable (17 may 09), will the weekday services change and will there be any weekend diagrams (as i think there aren't any at the moment), I assume they will be on Summer Saturday Services in the summer timetable.

Nothing new there with Arriva and random!

On the Fishguard - Cardiff ATW runs i've had Cl. 150, 153, 158 & 175's. It seems they like to chuck out everything and anything onto any service. Another time I had a 158 from Cardiff to Lydney and coming back I found myself on a 142 on the other diagram

Summer Saturday jobs are listed in the current copy of RI I believe, which I can't be bothered to dig out for the exact details. From memory;

0700 Glasgow to Newquay and Newquay to Plymouth

0700 Manchester Piccadilly to Newquay and 1530 return (booked for NXEC set)

There are two other sets out to play I believe, but memory fails with those two

Weekday diagrams aren't entirely random but they are susceptible to being Voyagerised should the need arise. Likewise, some Voyager services have been HST'd on occasions this month. These should however be on http://www.125group.co.uk

There will be 5 sets on summer saturdays, two from Manchester (one to the North Coast of Cornwall, another to the South East coast of Devon)

One set will run Glasgow - Newquay, one North East - Penzance - Leeds, and the final one to Newquay iirc.

Stopping fairly patterns are fairly unspectacular so expect some VERY busy trains.

Its all available on Journey Planners and will be available in timetables soon. Basically its the three Newquay trains as usual the 0642 Newcastle-Penzance and 1625 Penzance-Leeds. An early Leeds-Plymouth and then the 1221 Plymouth-Glasgow. That will be every weekend until September. Peak summer there will also be a Manchester-Paignton-Manchester train ran as an HST.

As usual, we on the Bournemouth "branch" of XC get very little. Under VXC, we did at least get two trains per day fast from Basingstoke to Birmingham New Street on summer Saturdays.

Our "hellfire" addition for this summer appears to be the 1745 Bournemouth - Manchester diverting to Leeds for a few weeks over high summer. How hellfire. :roll: This combined with the regular Saturday 0625 Bournemouth - Newcastle, gives us a whopping 2 trains per day to Derby and Sheffield!

They are.

Manchester - Paignton - Manchester will be formed of a XC set.
