Wrexham & Shropshire, First Class flat fare

Just found this news article about Wrexham & shropshire introducing a new flat fare for first class passengers between Wrexham & London.

There doesn;t seem to be anything on their website yet. I've tried to book First Class for July, and the flexible tickets are showing as unavailable...

Does it have to be printed off the Wrexham & Shropshire site? A lot of the tickets they offer do have to be obtained that way.

I can't find any information at all about these tickets on the WSMR website. Maybe the press release has been sent out early?

The new fares are available in the NFM05 section of "The Manual", though the restrictions don't appear to have been entered yet!

A quick look shows that the First Anytime Returns are being turned into First Off-Peak Returns, with a restriction code of WM...But that restriction isn't defined anywhere.

First Advance Singles are being reduced as well, from the present £55/£85 (for Wrexham to/from London) to £35/£55.

the eastcoast website site still lists these as 55 - when are they getting reduced ?

Can someone please confirm that all the trains in their current timeable are still Class 67, normally hauled Wrexham and pushed Marylebone
Are any of the WSR services operated by other train types yet? (I read a rumour some time ago that some would be operated by DMU, but were in fact existing Chiltern services)

Although i haven't looked on East Coast for WSMR to double check, I noticed yesterday that the first advance single for a few journeys i had in mind had indeed reduced, but that was on WSMR's own website.

Be aware that whilst i 100% prefer EC's website to anything based on the trainline, there are times when EC has been known to offer more expensive advance FC singles compared to what's available.

The only time i have seen wrexham & shropshire services operated by a class 168 dmu was when they had those extra's to Wembley staidum and when one of the loco hauled rakes failed.

However, they are NOT £120, they are £199

So much for that press release!

I can only find "First Class Advance" fares beyond May

However a quick search still shows fares only for the next two weeks, and those fares are £162

The fares change isn't until the timetable change on the 23rd of May.

Yes, I noted the date on the FAQ but many websites leave the date unchanged

I reported some issues I found on the WSR website last year, I never got a response
When making my seat reservation for my journey review they were very helpful making sure I had a seat exactly where I wanted it
However, that was a waste of time as the seat reservation labels weren't used!

I had hoped to perform another on the first northbound in the morning again this year, but I simply can't make the connection this year so it is looking like it will have to be midday southbound
