I was reading in Railway Herald about a consultation opening for contactless travel being accepted on National Rail.
A first thought was that you'd scan in and out, like Oyster.
However, does this mean split ticketing will no longer work? Unless you got off, touched out, then touched back in again?
Or would the design of the system work out that splitting tickets here and there would be cheaper, and thus do that automatically?
