Will an HST actually turn up?

I'm doing a trip with a friend tomorrow and there are a few classes he specifically wants to ride - one is an HST and according to the sources I can find the 16:23 Birmingham New Street to Tamworth service (a Plymouth-Glasgow run I think or Leeds or such like) is supposed to be an HST. Is there a way to confirm on the day if an HST has actually been rostered for this working or if it's been covered by something else? Sorry but my knowledge of 'gen' and how to obtain it is next to nothing.

Likewise for the 13:55 Moor Street to Solihul 67+mk3+DVT working if possible.

Many thanks!!

WOW!! Just leaves the silvers then!! Is it likely that the XC working I mentioned would get Voyagered?

In my experience, no. The 06:00 off Leeds is probably the 'safest' diagram.

I probably won't be in Tamworth/Birmingham area in time for that one. Thanks for the reassurance!

Does anybody know about the Chiltern silver workings? Especially the one that gets into Moor Street around 13:00 and leaves around 13:55. Thanks!

I can confirm 67012 has done the 0710 Kidderminster-Marylebone today and by diagram does
1106 Marylebone-Birmingham Moor Street
1355 Birmingham Moor Street-Marylebone
1706 Marylebone-Birmingham Moor Street

It comes back up from Plymouth as the service you mentioned in your first post.

Yes, sorry I didn't realise that you weren't aware that the 06:00 off Leeds forms the 12:23 Plymouth - Glasgow, which is in the Birmingham area at around 16:00 :)

Yes, the 06.00 Leeds-Plymouth and 12.23 Plymouth-Glasgow is invariably a HST diagram Monday to Saturday. The only time it is Voyager operated is when a HST fails (rare these days with MTU engines) or there is engineering works which alter the usual diagrams i.e. diversions.
