What trains can I expect on a Euston to watford junction commute?

Hi

I just wanted to ask a question about train quality.

I'm thinking of buying a place near watford junction to move into. I wanted to see what my journey home would be like from work so i took a train from euston to watford junction on Friday. To my surprise the train was quite old and dated (was London northwestern i believe). I also don't think it had any air conditioning. Is this normal or did i happen to catch a one-off?

There are a small number of peak services out of Euston which use older non-air conditioned stock. All the others use more modern aircon trains.

You can expect the old on-air conditioned trains to disappear in a couple of years and some new trains are on order.
