What method do you prefer to use to vote?

Are the people asking how someone has voted definitely a Teller, or could they be someone conducting an exit poll? Which clearly isn't illegal, or we wouldn't have the broadcasters giving their predicted result as soon as the polls closed.

If someone is conducting an official "exit poll" - they should identify themselves as such, and the organisation carrying out the poll. It is still voluntary to answer their question, whether you do so truthfully is up to you !

Where are you getting that information? If you have a National Insurance number (and date of birth) both the paper form and digital route don't require any documents to be provided. The digital option requires a digital photo that has similar requirements to a passport photo (against plain background, head and shoulders, no filters etc), it does not need to be a passport photo. A high quality scan might be accepted, but it's expected that people send a photo taken from a phone/camera or send the digital version from a passport booth/photographer if they did that for something else.

Having had a look at the process again, it would appear that I misread the form - the documents are only required if there's no national insurance number or date of birth. I was dealing with a nasty fever, so I wasn't entirely compos mentis at the time! Either way, it's a moot point now; I'll be popping in to the council office this afternoon to deliver my postal vote.
