I was travelling from Haymarket to Nuneaton on the 16:56 (9M60), due to change at New Street onto the 21:52 to Nuneaton arriving at 22:20 (1M85)
9M60 was delayed, so I missed my connection and made my own way home. On passing Nuneaton station by car at 23:25 I was surprised to see 1M85 on platform 7.
Realtime trains shows that both 1M85 and 1N69 Peterborough to New Street on platform 6 were held there for 79 and 86 minutes, respectively.
What was the reason for this?
