WCML insulators

Does anybody know what the extra insulators will be used for, on the WCML?
They are mounted on rods, which are clamped to the OLE supports. Presumably, it is a work-in-progress, and will be wired up soon.

Would it the return for autotransformer system?

Indeed for the 50kV autotransformer feed. Already in use on some sections. Been a long time coming.

Those pieces of equipment are also being installed on a 12-mile stretch of the Midland Main Line in preparation for Key Output 1 Thameslink services.
