Wandsworth Town Station Scaffolding

With Berrylands soon closing for work, I was surprised to pass Wandsworth Town today and see a ton of scaffolding on the middle island platforms with what looks like an overbridge type structure going above both the Up Windsor lines. Any clues?

Upgrade work starts to transform busy Wandsworth Town Station - Wandsworth Borough Council

The £20m upgrade programme, delivered by Network Rail and funded by Wandsworth Council and the Department for Transport’s Access for All scheme, includes opening up a brand-new second entrance at Odyssey Way and installing lifts to all platforms.

A very sensible idea.
I remember having to wait 20 mins at Wandsworth Town station on a Sunday & using it to examine if there had ever been an up side exit as well as the main exit on the down side.

Indeed there were signs of large bricked up doorways at the river side of the subway.
So not a “brand new” second entrance as described in post 2. But excellent news. SWR’s Weybridge could do with its down exit reopened.
