Wandsworth Road

Does anyone know if this station is locked up at night?

I'd like to go there for 0600-0620 one morning and the first train is at 0629.

It should be. If the first train is at 0629, it should be open well before that.

But besides I think the station is unstaffed (?) and if this is the case it is probably open all night unless they get someone to open/close gates

Be careful there, some 'nice' locals there only too keen to make 'friends' with you hang about that stn!

I checked it out recently and it would appear that somebody comes and locks the gates at the entrance at closing time. I'll still give it a try.

Its not any worse than the other areas of London I frequent, it is still worth keeping an eye out and not having equipment worth hundreds of pounds out if you're not expecting something imminent.

I used to go there in the 90's and a had a few run in's with the locals but it is as a rule rare just use common sense and should be ok

Just for the record I arrived at Wandsworth Road @ 05:50 today, don't think the station was even locked up overnight. 6O62 (20302/20306) was due at 06:20. At around that time I asked for an update and got this - I misssed the thing by 5 minutes

Unlucky. I visit Wandsworth Road quite a bit when I'm in London, as it seems a good place for freight. I also make a regular trip to the fast food place near the entrance :P...!
