Wagon on lorry on M6

I wonder if anyone else drove along the M6 today and saw a strange wagon being transported on a long low loader. The wagon was the same length approx. as a container flat and had yellow clamps along the edge. Colour was grey / olive drab and lettering was all in German. Buffers were large rectangular style. There were wrap around white railing across each end. Apologies I couldn't take a photograph as I was driving!
