Vulcan XH558

It was announced in a Press Release yesterday that next year will be the last year of flying for Vulcan Bomber XH558, more details at http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/409/82/Official-Press-Release.html

This has to go on my 'must see' list for 2013.

Very sad news. I'm not an aviation enthusiast by any means, but this is one aircraft I'd love to see. I've watched plenty of youtube videos and would love to experience the Vulcan Howl live!

I must make an effort to get to a show next year.

That is sad news, I'm not particularly interested in planes but am partial to the odd airshow, and ever since seeing the Vulcan on display before restoration at Waddington a few years back I've always wanted to see it in action. Looks like I may have to hurry up!

I read this on their facebook page. As an aviation enthisiast with a particular soft spot for the Vulcan I'm devastated.
I have seen her in action a few times and that charicteristic howl is something that I will greatly miss, along with the pilots throwing it around the sky like a fighter.
It will be a sad loss to the airshow curcuit and the aviation community in general.

Real shame but not unexpected.I have seen this aircraft several times and never fail to be mesmerised.

Saw it last year, it took off at waddington then did a spiral up into the clouds (dont know official name or anything) on full power. Something i will never forget, ever. Shame to see it go.
