VTEC cycle reservation

I'm planning to take my bike on VTEC from Grantham to London, with a cycle reservation.

What should I do on the platform at Grantham as the train will be starting from further north? Look out for the guard once the doors open, or will the bike area always at the same end of the platform?

Check your reservation, if it says coach A for the bike it'll be at the north end, coach P for the South end that's only if the train is in the right formation. Speak to the platform staff, they'll confirm what end to be at and if they need to open the door for you. (:
