Hi, a colleague saw an XC power car painted in the original VTXC red livery from a train this morning. It was in a depot and hidden behind other sets, not sure if it's fully branded. Does anyone know the number?

Which depot was it? Or which city/area? This may help people to find out which it was.

I’ve just looked through the 125 group website and can’t see anything listed as being at Laura in VTEC red livery. Maybe someone with local knowledge can help out.

The closest one I can see is 43277 which is supposed to be at the South Devon Railway for maintenance for Colas. There’s plenty listed in VT livery at Ely and 43300 wherever that got taken from Neville Hill (the one the Azuma tried coupling with and written off). Sorry I haven’t got a definitive answer.

It's none of these it has the original 90s colours with the yellow paint from the cant line to headlights and its a different shade of red. The Colas pair are also in Scotland.
