Unusual Station Descriptions

Well it can't be Brentwood, as that has less passengers than Billericay, nor can it be Bishops Stortford. So I really don't know! Can't be Braintree as that's a terminal station, and Braintree Freeport is tiny!

It's Benfleet. Not a particularly large settlement on its own (indeed, the station is in South Benfleet), but it covers Canvey Island.

Cue a massive debate, and hopefully some new questions.

Yes, that's right. It's also near a junction between an electrified and a non electrified line.

Darlington is consecutively numbered 1,2,3,4 and 4a. Plus it only has three lines running through it, a siding and two bays.

Only the outer platforms are in use, numbered 1 and 4. Both these lines are electrified, along with one of the middle platforms. The Lifford curve forms a triangle with the Camp Hill and Selly Oak lines. It is in the West Mids PTE area, which could well sell zonal tickets. It isn't far from Tamworth.

As with Kings Norton, this station does not have consecutive platform numbers. It has one bay platform and the occasional HST, although some high-speed units run nearby (somewhere between 10m and 10mi). It was once a haunt of one of the forum's least favourite post-privatisation units.
