Hi, I was given a UFN but I don’t have a reference number for it because oil spilt on the ticket which rubbed off the ink. The amount to pay is £128 - from memory. I have called LNER 3 times, and one man apparently emailed the prosecution team for me. But no reply. I was told to wait a week. I have emailed the Appel team. No reply. I even emailed them a link to recieve the £128 payment from my account once they read the email. I am on day 25/28. I really don’t want to pay double fees because of no communication from LNER. Does anyone have any help advice or phone number I can use to get my reference number and just pay the fee?

Not sure if @Wallsendmag might have any advice on this

might help if you could post the e-mail address you have tried to use as anyone familiar with LNER on here might be able to check if that is correct

Are LNER offering a 50% discount if you pay up within 28 days? That's what you imply from your posts. Does anyone else have knowledge of LNER normal practice in these matters? I don't believe that it's a Penalty Fare Notice as I understand that LNER never issue them, so it probably has no backing from any Regulations that govern issues such as discounts and appeals.

If you could describe what train service you were on, between where and where, and what ticket you held, if any, it might clarify things for us

LNER don't issue Penalty Fares so there won't be a discount for paying within 21-days.
