I have accounts for both - facebook I use heavily, mainly for groups and to laugh at the endless arguments of UK railfans, I don't have many real-life friends, and even less close family, so I guess it helps me connect socially.

The twitter account I only used once a couple of years go, haven't returned since.

I still use a Parker Sonnet fountain pen for writing certain personal letters.

I'm 22 and I use Parker fountain pens (admittedly not Sonnets, I use the cheaper Vectors) for most or all of my day-to-day writing needs.

It's not a sign of being old, it's a sign of how much easier it is to write with a fountain pen than a ballpoint. Which few people seem to realize nowadays.

I'm sure Paul actually composes his erudite contributions by quill and ink using the light of a candle

I have a vector, and my handwriting looks much nicer written with fountain than a bic etc!

Mine's a Waterman with an old-style cartridge and ink bottle. Got it for my 21st. I only use it for personal letters, everything else gets word-processed. I would use my old typewriter, but I can't find a replacement for the ribbon.

I use fountain pens to write some letters and fill in application forms. Otherwise I use email or Microsoft Word to send others.

I use Facebook for keeping up with family whilst out and for communicating with work colleagues. I can't be bothered with Twittering though
