Hi Everyone,

I have a TRP trainee train driver test coming up. Can anyone who has recently done the TRP Dials Test shed any light on what to expect!

The practice materials sent to me are a bit vague!

Thanks in advance.

You forgot to mention that the dials will also have numbers on, but not in the same places, so you need to check these also.

Yes you are right! But if you understand the basics, then the numbers are all you have to think about.

I think I will let someone eles have a go at explianing about the numbers, why not have a go wessex?

simples, the pointer in the most dangerous segment area with the lowest number is priority ;)

Thanks for all your help. I think I should be ok with the left and right aspect of it. What do I have to know about the numbers?

Ghost: Thanks for your detailed reply! mucho help! I have the tests at OPC with Heathrow Express later this week.

So am I right in thinking, that for the "order" I do as Ghost explained AND then for a priority I do as you say about the numbers?

yes, for e.g. two pointers may be in the danger area and one may look lower but will have a higher number so choose the lower number.
