Trivia: ups and downs on a short journey

If you catch a stopping train from Doncaster to Meadowhall, you start out in the up direction, continuing on the down through Conisbrough, regain an up line at Swinton, then onto a down again through Rotherham C, returning to an up line into Meadowhall. All thanks to the unexpected up/down orientation of the former GC lines in the area.
Any similar examples elsewhere of a short journey flip-flopping between up and down without reversing?
