TRIVIA: Most bus stations served en route?

As the title says, which bus service(s) call at the most bus stations on their route?

Any facility named as a bus station counts, no matter how grandiose. Advertised 'connecting' routes (e.g. in my example) count. Coach route do not count!

I can think of a few with 4 or 5 bus station calls. One example: X4 Cardiff to Abergavenny calls at Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Ebbw Vale, Brynmawr and Abergavenny for a total of 5. Can this be beaten? I can't think of any with 6 right now!

Going back to 1985, we had Blyth/Hexham X25/X26/601/602 through service, called at Blyth, Haymarket Newcastle, Eldon Square Newcastle, Marlborough Cresent Newcastle, Blaydon and Hexham.

The old United/Northern X20 from Bishop Auckland to Newcastle Eldon Sq used to go via Spennymoor, Durham and Gateshead Metro bus stations (yes- Spenny had a bus station). The 121 from Scarborough to Hull also served Filey, Brid and Beverley bus stations.

T4 serves Newtown, Llandrindod Wells (sometimes referred to a bus stn in some docs), Brecon, Merthyr, and Pontypridd

Back in the day, the old 400 Bolton-Stockport used to call at Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Ashton bus stations on route, when the 401 became Bolton-Stockport, that called at Bury, Middleton, Oldham, Ashton, Hyde bus stations on route

Back in the days before Cardiff city council 'improved' central Cardiff the X4 also used Cardiff bus station and ran through to Hereford to use the bus station there as well.

Another Stagecoach South Wales one is the 78 Pontypridd-Nelson-Treharris-Treharris again 9 mins later-Merthyr Tydfil.

Then there's the Harris Coaches 7 Blackwood-Treharris-Nelson-Pontypridd

Excel in Norfolk manages 5 viz Peterborough - Wisbech - Kings Lynn - Cringleford Interchange - Norwich. Before 2018, it ran through to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

Excluding the Cringleford and Norwich, it would be difficult to think of 5 bus stations that felt more reminiscent of the 1980s

Surprisingly, the one stand & turning circle at Earby is listed as a 'bus station'!

The bus turning circle in Castleton is similarly listed as a bus station, which surprised me when I was there (it was looking for times back when I noticed this, having for the bus to there that morning)

How many bays do need for a stop to be classed as a Bus Station? One! Monmouth bus station has one stand! And no passenger facilities other than a shelter. Any more examples?

Back before the route was split (many years ago now) Crosville’s (and subsequently Midland Red’s) C84 between Chester and Hanley on contracted journeys called at Chester Bus Station, Chester Bus Exchange, Nantwich Bus Station, Crewe Bus Station, Newcastle-under-Lyme Bus Station and Hanley Bus Station - a total of six.

Commercial journeys didn’t serve the Bus Exchange, most likely because of the potential for traffic delays going across the City Centre.

It was quite the thread and not certain these ones featured

I had to check Timetable World and the erstwhile Midland Red X96 managed 6 - Northampton, Coventry, Birmingham, Dudley, Oakengates and Shrewsbury

Back in the day, I did the Midland Red 192 entire route (albeit in three chunks) and that did Birmingham, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Leominster and Hereford (hopper Bus Station) and Hereford Country bus station. It also stopped on the Hagley Road outside/opposite Bearwood bus station

The 400 was also extended to Wythenshawe and Manchester Airport bus stations for a while in the late 80s (Friday-Sunday, summer only), although it didn't go to the bus station in Oldham at the time, stopping on King Street outside the Shopping Giant (the bus station was then at Town Square).

The 401 was also briefly extended to Wigan around 1987.
