Re: Grounds seen from other grounds...

In the last few weeks it was in use, from Leeds Road you could see the (then) Alfred McAlpine Stadium. If you're in the right section of the Cardiff Millennium Stadium you can see right into Cardiff Arms Park (or at least could when Town played there in 2004).

The Heysham Harbour branch line goes straight past Morecambe's new stadium very close indeed. In fact, you could probably see inside the stadium from the train as there is just a short wall on the railway line side of the pitch. Just a shame there is no station.

Also a shame there's no trains running there in the hours before and after kick-off times... ;)

A variant on this theme - football grounds you can see from inside other football grounds.

You can see Anfield from the top balcony at Goodison. Can you see Goodison from Anfield through the windows at the back of the main stand?

I don't know the Nottingham, Dundee, Edinburgh (City & Hibs) and East London (West Ham & Leyton Orient) grounds well enough to comment.

There are great outside views from the concourses at Wembley so would expect some other London grounds to be visible. On the other side of the coin, is the Wembley arch visible from elsewhere?

And, in the olden days, you could see the tops of the Valley Parade floodlights from the stand at Park Avenue, particularly when they were switched on, but not vice versa.

At non-league level, some grounds are almost adjacent like Squires Gate and Blackpool Wren Rovers. Eastwood Hanley's old ground at Trentmill Road used to be next to another non-league side whose name I forget.

And Northwich Victoria's short-lived Victoria Stadium was just across the canal from Witton's Wincham Park.
You can see Celtics stadium from the Club Deck at Rangers.

Darlington 2 Chesterfield 1 - D3N - Dec 29th 1923 - Att: 5,675 (ref: Paul & Shirley Smith's "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish League Grounds"; they don't mention any other games)
