TransPennine Express First Class Service

Hi,

On the Liverpool Lime Street - Newcastle and Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street stoppers, when is first class service usually terminated and commenced respectively please?

Additionally, anyone who has used first class on this route - is the catering normally provided as planned, or does this often vary please? Does TPE have a dedicated first class host?

Out of Liverpool it is prompt, when I've done it I've been served by Newton-le-Willows.

Into Liverpool it depends- boarding at Manchester Victoria you might get something or you might not.

There is no dedicated first class host, so whilst they are wheeling the trolley through standard class there is no first class service. On busy trains this can be a very lengthy wait. Last time heading south from Newcastle I was served by Darlington but the catering host then went off to serve standard class- it was Marsden before they returned.

Do you happen to know when they normally stop first class catering going northbound terminating at NCL please?

Again, depends. You'll probably get something if you're boarding at York, probably not at Darlington.
